Maggie’s is an extraordinary charity. Many patient, their carers and families find a safe place, a haven and calm amidst the chaos of a cancer diagnosis at these centres. The centres are beautifully designed by different architects and many have gardens which are also part of the therapeutic environment. The charity was founded by Maggie Keswick Jenks who believed that “no-one should lose the joy of living through the fear of dying” when diagnosed with cancer.
