Do You “Ken” Who I Am?

A kenning is a form of metaphoric poetry that describes someone or something without using its name. It normally has two words in each line and four lines in total. Thus, it can be used to create riddles about people or objects. In this poem, you work out which kenning describes which professional that cared for, or treated me, during my time as an inpatient. Have fun! Oh and this list isn’t complete! The care received has been much appreciated. Thanks to all hospital staff in all professions.

Professions: 1.Auxiliary Nurse, 2.Consultant, 3.Microbiologist, 4.Pharmacist, 5.Phlebotomist, 6.Physician Associate, 7.Physiotherapist, 8.Porter, 9.Radiographer, 10.Staff Nurse

NHS Grampian Endowment Fund raises money and accepts donations that are used to “make a difference” to the care of patients and families in Grampian.

The Endowment Fund team works with a range of health care professionals, including doctors, nurses and service managers, to provide some of the most advanced medical equipment available. Endowment Funds also provide “extras” to make patients’ stays in hospital more comfortable.
