Poems, Blood Cancer and Outdoor Residentials rolled into one!

Hi there!

Would you consider signing up for my fundraiser? I’ve written a poem for every day in September. It means you will receive every poem daily during September 2022. It makes it easy if you want to share a poem with a friend, relative or colleague or on social media.

I’ve written these poems over the past year as my way of processing the impact of having Leukaemia (a rare blood cancer). Collectively, it’s a small anthology. There’s a real mix of styles as I’m still learning and finding my poet’s pen! So be patient - if the first few don’t appeal, others later on might. Some are funny, some are serious, some are reflective, some are just sad. You have been warned!

It my first fundraiser that I’ve done in years, so the more people who know the better! Thank you for “doing your bit” to help me raise awareness of Blood Cancer Awareness Month - September 2022, the charities involved and to raise money for Flynne’s Barn, a residential centre where young people living with cancer can come together and find connection in beautiful surroundings. It provides a range of immersive outdoor and creative experiences. It’s a new venture and just getting going, so every £1 counts.
